Toll-Like Receptors

We work with scientists to design animated presentations that correspond with their research and lecture objectives. Overall our goal is to make science easier to understand and more engaging.

Toll like receptors are important receptors in the inflammatory response. These receptors can also regulate cell cycle progression which serves to expand useful immune cells and integrate inflammatory processes and tissue repair.

The most popular TLR adaptor MYD88 is known to contain a death domain, similar to the TNF receptor. Toll like receptor signaling may be involved in cell death.

Toll-like receptors are cell surface receptors.

Other receptors in this category are ligand gated ion channels, receptor tyrosine kinases, integrins, and G protein coupled receptors.
